I have just added some photos of my latest work to the gallery. The piece is a contemporary take on perhaps one of the most classic designs out there, the Oak dresser. The piece relies heavily on shadow gaps to give clean outlines and add visual interest and is influenced by the work of the German designer maker Franz Karg. Karg, active in the ’70s and ’80s, is renowned for his techniques in ‘massiv holz’ or solid wood and created some remarkable designs produced with amazing accuracy. I hope I managed to come close to the timelessness of his designs.
